The Ladies Section held their Annual Meeting, Dinner and Prizegiving on Friday 8th November. Everyone had a great night with lots of laugher. Congratulations' to all the Winners and Runnersup. Our new Ladies Club Champion is Isla Moncrieff.
Isabel Brown has been elected as the new Ladies Captain. We wish her all the best in her new position.

Congratulations to our Ladies Champion Isla Moncrieff who won the Perth and Kinross Ladies County Champion of Champions on Sunday 6th October at The Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course. Isla did well in difficult wet conditions with a gross score of 77.
Pitlochry Ladies had their Annual Outing at Strathmore GC. The course looked fabulous in the glorious sunshine. We finished off our day with a lovely 2 course meal.
The winner of the Ladies Outing Salver was Audrey Smith with a super 42 stableford points
The Ladies Club Championship Finals were played yesterday Sunday 25th August 2024. The rain wasn't quite as heavy as expected but still very wet underfoot. Despite the weather all 4 games were closely contested. The results were as follows:

Scratch Senior Championship: Kathleen Duncan Runner-up: Janette Kennedy 4/2

A record number of Past Captains attended this years Past Captains Day with 4 Past Captains playing for the cup. There was a lovely atmosphere as we all chatted and reminisced. Everyone enjoyed a lovely meal courtesy of The Red Deer and a drink courtesy of the late Margaret MacRae so Cheers Margaret. The winner this year was Lande Pattinson seen here being presented with the trophy by Helen Telford. Runner up was Audrey Smith.
We played our last friendly match of the season against Blairgowrie on Monday 20th August. Weather was not kind to us unfortunately, but a great match never the less. The result was a win to Pitlochry 4:0. This meant a clean sweep for Pitlochry Ladies in all their friendly matches this year so well done to all those involved.
This years Ladies Open Putting Competition was won by Pitlochry member Brenda Clough. We had a good turnout on a very sunny evening.
Another successful Pitlochry Ladies Highland Open Week.
We were lucky with the weather as the rain forecast for the week didn't appear. It was good to see that our numbers had increased this year with entries from as far north as Thurso to Kent in the south, plus one lady from Ireland. It was a great week of golf and fun on and off the golf course.

Pitlochry Ladies continued their winning streak with a win over Crieff Ladies away from home 2 1/2:1/2. The next match will be away to Alyth on 5th August.
The Ladies Section got their friendly matches off to a great start this year on Monday 6th May with a match against the ladies from Dunning. We were blessed with a lovely day and the course was in great condition despite the amount of rain we have had. This time it was a win for Pitlochry 2-1 however everyone had a great day and we were served a lovely meal afterwards courtesy of The Red Deer Pub and Restaurant. Pitlochry Ladies next match will be away to Crieff on 30th May.
We were delighted to have had such fabulous weather for our opening match. The Competition this year was a Stableford Texas Scramble.
Winning team was Isla Moncrieff, Louise Kelly, Janet McDonald and Olga Robb 55 points. Second was Kathleen Duncan, Isabel Brown, Lauren Cameron and Kirsten Kramer with 54 points. We were very happy to welcome Olga and Kirsten, two Gateway golfers to the day and delighted that they were both among the winners.
Big thanks go to Jackie and her team at The Red Deer for the excellent food throughout the day.

On Friday 3rd November the Ladies held their Annual Meeting, Prizegiving and Dinner at Pitlochry Festival Theatre. It was a lovely evening with 26 people attending. Many thanks to the Theatre staff for looking after us so well and providing us with a lovely meal. Congratulations to all the winners and runners up. Our new Ladies Club Champion for 2023 is Laura Campbell. Many thanks to Helen Telford and Margaret Chalmers for presenting the prizes. Both ladies have been members for over sixty years. PGC Ladies enjoyed their Annual Outing to Edzell on Tuesday 12th September. The weather course and hospitality were fabulous.
Results on the day were as follows:
Overall winner was Janette Kennedy with 44 points. Closely followed by Katherine Haworth with 43 points and Lynne Sweeney with 42 points.
Most improved back 9 was Lesley Grey. Nearest the pin @ the 14th was Laura Campbell and nearest the pin @ the 17th was Kathleen Duncan. Lowest net score on the "Hidden Hole" was Isabel Brown.
The Ladies Championship Finals were held on Sunday 27th August 2023. Fortunately the weather stayed warm with some sunshine. Thanks go to the referees and those who came to came out to spectate. The trophies were presented by the ladies Captain Katherine Haworth.

We played our last friendly match of the season at Blairgowrie on Monday 21st August. Weather and Hospitality great. The result was a win for Blairgowrie 2.5 - 1.5
On Monday 7th August the Ladies played their second home match against Alyth Ladies. We were lucky with the weather and the course was in fabulous condition. Our visitors were full of praise for the golf course and the hospitality in the Red Deer Pub and Restaurant. Result 3.0 win for Pitlochry.
This year's Ladies Highland Open during the week beginning 10th July was enjoyed by 65 ladies who braved wet weather every day. Despite the conditions some excellent golf was played and a lot of fun was had alongside the serious business of the competition.
The golf course was in lovely condition and congratulations are due to Stuart Griffiths and his team for achieving this in somewhat adverse conditions.
The Red Deer Clubhouse kept everyone very well fed and watered, there was always a warm welcome and delicious food.
The Tuesday was designated Breast Cancer Day and £115 was raised for the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
Four of the seven trophies were won by Pitlochry ladies.
The Starters Cup & the Breadalbane Quaich (for those aged under 21) were both won by Lauren Pirie, the Pecairn cup went to Lauren Cameron after a tough battle over 20 holes and The Atholl Cup was won by Laura Campbell.
The Craigower Trophy was lifted by Carol Borthwick from Baberton Golf Club, the Veterans Salver went to Caroline Henderson of Aberfeldy and the Eleanor Ballantyne Salver to Ann Shepherd of Lochgelly
Many congratulations to all who played and we hope everyone will return in 2024.
Saturday 18th March saw the opening match for the new season. Captain of Team Ireland - Hazel Browne 302 net beat Captain of Team England - Katherine Haworth 335 net. The weather was very wet and miserable however good fun was had by all. Everyone enjoyed a lovely meal afterwards in The Red Deer.
The day ended with the Prize giving for the Winter League. The results were as follows:

With the beginning of the new season in sight PItlochry Golf Club Ladies held a fun get together in the Red Deer on 7th March. The morning consisted of indoor golf games to get everyone back in the swing and a soup and sandwich lunch. A great time was had by all and it was lovely to see such a good turnout and catch up after the winter.
