THE GENERATIONS CUP
The Generations Cup was played last night ( 24 August 2018) on a night that saw some challenging conditions on
the Course.
The Cup was played over 9 holes with teams coming from all the Club sections. Louise Kelly and Isla Johnston
came out victorious with Junior Golfer Alex Groves winning nearest the pin on the 4th.
The event was supported by The Carruthers family who provided some wonderful prizes and ensured nobody left
empty handed!
We also took the opportunity to present Lauren Pirie with her Captains Quach. Lauren will be Junior Captain for
2018/19. Congratulations!!

2018 European Golf Team Championships
Pitlochry Junior Golf Trip
Gleneagles August 10th 2018
Some of our Junior Section spent a fantastic day at the European Team Championships at Gleneagles
yesterday.
As always, Gleneagles never lets you down as a visitor or spectator and the venue was superbly laid out for
this new team event.
Golf Scotland were there to offer our Juniors an hour of private coaching. After a mixture of spectating,
coaching, burgers and chips, tea’s and coffees, sunshine and rain, there was one last surprise in store! Mid-way through our coaching with Golf Scotland former Open Champion Paul Laurie arrived to oversee and praise
the level of golf on display!
A huge thank you to everyone at the Pitlochry golf Club and at Golf Scotland who played a part in making the
day a success! Special thanks must go to Louise Kelly (Ladies Captain) and Isabel Mason for assisting on the
day.
